As part of its European growth strategy and with the aim of expanding its distribution offering of value-added technology products and solutions, ITANCIA is acquiring the business assets of Software Technology Resources (STR), a subsidiary of the German Softline group.

With this acquisition, ITANCIA is extending its technology solutions portfolio to include the distribution of professional software, along with all associated services such as consultancy, training and user assistance.

“For strategic reasons, our group – Softline AG – is withdrawing from the software distribution market to focus exclusively on growing its portfolio of consulting services. The ITANCIA group will be taking over our software distribution activity. We will continue to work together on projects related to the French market. In future, these projects will be supported by the Softline group’s DACH region. We are delighted to be handing this business activity over to the ITANCIA group, who will be able to support customers and provide exact solutions to their needs” explains Martin Schaletzky, CEO of Softline AG.

STR – Software Technology Resources – is a logical extension of the ITANCIA group’s product and service offering: “The acquisition of STR allows us to enrich our product/service offering and meet our customers’ growing demand for computer software. Over the years, STR has grown and built a strong reputation in its market around its key skills. Following the acquisition of the cybersecurity specialist NIS in 2019, we are continuing to position ourselves as a global player covering all customer needs concerning Information Technology, Telecoms and cybersecurity. The solutions offered by STR are a perfect fit for the value-added services already in our catalogue. Lastly, to promote synergy between the two teams, all STR employees will soon move to our Nanterre site, outside Paris” explains Thierry Le Goff, Managing Director of the ITANCIA Group.

This new acquisition represents an important milestone for ITANCIA, which continues to develop innovative and environmentally friendly value-added services and solutions.
